About Lodge No. 12

Austin Lodge No. 12 was established on October 11, 1839. The same month the former town known as Waterloo became the new seat of the government of the Republic of Texas.

The lodge is the only remaining Republic of Texas Masonic Lodge that has been in continuous operation since then. It has a long and very proud history of being heavily involved in the life of the city by counting numerous city-fathers, politicians, business men, and educators amongst its membership.

Austin Lodge No. 12 is a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas A.F.&A.M. As such we welcome all Masons in good standing who belong to any Masonic Lodge that is in amity with the Grand Lodge of Texas. Please reach out, or simply stop by and visit any Monday. Please see our schedule of events for further information.
